Beautifully Restored 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Beautifully restored and well maintaned matching numbers and colors Mustang Boss 302 from 1970. The Boss 302 model was produced in years 1969 and 1970 and was specifically created by Ford to take part in Trans-American Championship. Only 8,641 examples were ever produced and such race engine variants were able to handle around 8,000 RPM, were made with better ’competition suspension’ and short-ratio gearbox. As a result the 5.0 liter V8 engine of Boss 302 produces almost 300 hp, which is powerful even with the modern standards. Last decade this very vehicle in Calypso-coral color was kept in Netherlands in a private collection where it went through some quality restoration, including paint, change of the gearbox to a five-speed to make the longer journeys more enjoyable, installation of larger Baer brakes and tasteful 17” replicas of Magnum 500 wheels. When in Estonia, special Boss 302 power steering was installed along with the brake booster pump to make the car more maneuverable and safer to drive in modern conditions. As a result, c.a €10,000 was invested on service and improvements in the last year alone, bringing the car to peak technical and visual standards. The Boss 302 comes with original bill of sale that preserved till this day and “Marti Report“ confirming the specs.
